At Browz Eyeware, we believe strongly in giving back to the community and caring for the eyes of all those in need. Outreach programs represent an opportunity to show the community the level of commitment our optometrists have to their community. The staff also plays an important role in community outreach. One of the most valuable initiatives our office participates in is Optometry Giving Sight, a charity that provides eyeglasses and eye care to the underprivileged around the world.
We also support our community by participating in events in our community throughout the year. These include:
– Vehicles and Violins Kids Help Phone & Make-A-Wish Foundation
– Woodside Ladies Open Breast Cancer Supportive Care
– Cedarwood Sation-Pink Tea Party Seniors Week
An Early Childhood Eye Health and Vision Project
The success of the ESEL program relies on the involvement of both parents and teachers. Each fall, kindergarten teachers send a parent information package home with each of their students. Parents are encouraged to book an appointment for their child to have their eyes examined. The program has gained endorsement from every public and separate school division in Alberta.
Free Eye Glasses for Kindergarten children
From the generous donation of industry sponsors, we are able to offer to all kindergarten children from participating school divisions – one FREE pair of eyeglasses, if they are prescribed by an eye doctor.
Browz Eyeware proudly participates in the Eye See… Eye Learn Program. If it has been a year or more since your child’s last eye exam, please book an appointment with us today!
