Dr. Victoria Dang was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta where she obtained her Bachelor of Science at the University of Calgary. She completed one year of Optometry at the University of Manchester in England. She obtained the highest GPA in her class in the first year of Optometry school at Western University of Health Sciences where she graduated on the Dean’s Honours List for her Doctor of Optometry in 2024.
Prior to becoming an Optometrist, she was in the optometry industry for several years. She worked as an optometrist assistant, ophthalmologist assistant and office manager in many different optical offices, including Browz Eyeware. During this time she had published an article in the Journal of Ophthalmology on the importance of wearing eye protection while playing badminton.
Dr. Dang's commitment to her excellence in optometry has been showcased through her extensive training. She completed an internship in Rowland Heights, California focused on orthokeratology and myopia control, and another in Braedenton, Florida, where she gained experience in pediatric and diabetic eye exams. In Seattle, Washington she specialized in dry eye disease management, while her internship in Redlands, California provided insights into ocular disease and surgical procedures. Passionate about ocular disease management, specialized contact lens fitting and myopia control therapies, Dr. Dang is committed to providing the best care for her patients.
In her free time, you will find Dr. Dang travelling, cooking, golfing, hiking, rock climbing, reading and spending time with her friends and family. She speaks fluent Cantonese and Vietnamese. She is also able to perform eye examinations in Spanish.
